How everyone can contribute to the battle against the coronavirus

Dr. Matt Boente MD, along with Dr. Robert Ozols, wrote a SPORE grant to the NIH to study ovarian cancer, a SPORE-Special Program for Research Excellence resulting in a $5 million grant. It was the first one awarded to gynecologic cancer researchers. It was one of the many accomplishments Dr. Matt Boente MD has achieved in his career.    As a medical professional, Dr. Boente feels that it is part of his responsibility to join fellow medical professionals, as well as the rest of humanity, in battling the dreaded coronavirus. After all, it is a battle that everyone is involved in, whether they like it or not. Cubs update: What a canceled season looks like

The past couple of weeks saw the world slow down as the number of COVID-19 cases worldwide continues to climb. Major sporting events are either suspended indefinitely or canceled. Two Cubs employees tested positive for COVID-19. The team did not have the results until March 23 and 24. The Cubs believe the training session on March 8 contributed to the exposure of the two to the highly-contagious virus since there was nothing indicative of it during the session, notes Dr. Matt Boente MD, an ardent supporter of the Chicago Cubs.
